Fickinger Family Reunion...

Ella met lots of new friends this weekend! We went to the Family Reunion at Beaver Run Fishing Lodge in the Poconos on Saturday morning. It was gorgeous weather - some even had long sleeves on. We celebrated Bruce's 80th birthday, Dave participated in a pie eating contest (and almost won), Ella did her book trick for the crowd (pat patting the pages) and then closed the book at the end, etc. etc. I was nervous about how she would sleep there - and after taking a while for her to go to sleep - she slept through fireworks outside of her window, Aunt Pat killing a bat in the hallway at 1:30am - but woke up to silence at 4:30am. Luckily after some walking around, she fell back to sleep until about 8:00am! Enjoy the pictures...

the brandywine zoo...

Today we went to the Brandywine Zoo for lunch and a stroll! We met Nonna, Aunt Melanie and Meghaan for lunch (thanks, Sharon!) during a beautiful summer day (almost 90 degrees). Ella's first trip to the zoo was a great one! We saw the new bee exhibit, a tiger, serval, goats, llamas, macaw birds, etc. etc. etc. The pictures are of our lunch, Ella in her sunhat and Ella with our favorite zookeeper, Meg!!!

new family and friends meet Ella...

In the last two weeks new family and friends have met Ella...
The McGaughey cousins were in town for the New York City weekend and spent an extra night to meet and play with Ella. It was great being with everyone if only for a few hours.
My sister, Lorin came down and met Ella! The three of us met Dad at Panera for lunch. It was great for Ella to finally meet her Aunt Lorin.
This week, Ella and I traveled to Lancaster to meet Tammy, Slone, Tonya and Hailey for lunch and a visit. Ella slept the whole way there and the whole way home! It was great to spend time with old friends. It is hard to believe that 10 years ago we were in college and now we all have our own children! Life is good....

Swimming With My boyfriend!

Ella went to Kelly's pool today with lots of friends to celebrate Ursuline's last day. She wasn't so sure about the cold water! She had only ever been in a bath tub and the Wong's HEATED pool! She didn't cry - but certainly looked at me for help! Her boyfriend, Brennan was there too as you can see in the pictures! I can't wait to show them these pictures later in life...
Ella is still enjoying her exersaucer, activity gym, and the ceiling fan! She is cooing a whole bunch now and giggling at her mom and dad. That is one of the best sounds on earth!
