Happy Birthday, Grandmommy! Ella's Grandmother's birthday is today! (Nonna's birthday was yesterday!) My mom came over to help us all day long - and we tried on all THREE of Ella's St. Patrick's Day bibs! Thank you to Grandmommy, Kelly, and Aunt Pat for our first Irish bibs!

Our First Walk...65 degrees!

In Ella's week long life so far she has lived through a snow storm (Nor'easter - 9 inches) and 65 degree balmy days! We took advantage of her week old birthday Saturday, and went for a walk in our new stroller! Thank you Aunt Pat!
Aunt Melanie and Nona went with us for our walk. What should our next posted "first" be? Any suggestions?

Our First Bath

We took our first bath at home this morning. Ella was wonderful! Her Mommy and Daddy had a harder time, I think! We felt like we were torturing her with our cold hands and cold air! All was well at the end when she was wrapped up in her blanket.
We are having so much fun with all of Ella's "firsts". Yesterday she went to her first doctor's appointment. We also had our first trip to AI Dupont for bloodwork to check for jaundice (came back fine!). This morning was our first bath, and later today we hope to get out into the sunshine for our first walk! LOVE THIS LITTLE GIRL!!!!

Ella Dorothy Persoleo is born!

We are thrilled to show you our daughter, Ella. She is so wonderful...we can't wait for all of you to meet her. More details to come...just wanted to get a few pictures up! It is our first night at home and we have some shut eye to catch!

After today - 2 more days!!!

After today there are only 2 more days until Dave and I get to meet Baby Persoleo! Yesterday was Dave's 31st birthday - we thought BP might make an appearance for his/her first birthday gift to Daddy...but I guess BP thinks Saturday is present enough!

We are still all set for Saturday morning at 7:30am. As I was told at my last prego doctor's appointment yesterday - 7:30am is "knife to belly" time. So all of the pre-op business will be started at 5:30am when we arrive! Dr. McCullough(my hero - by the way) says that the whole process (cutting, delivering and stitching back up) only takes about 20-25 minutes! She even told Dave that he gets to announce whether BP is a girl or a boy!!! She will hold BP up - and Dave calls it! I can't wait for that moment! (I also hope that Dave gets it RIGHT!)

Hopefully, by 8am my parents will know the good news and start making phone calls to our family and friends - early morning rise for you guys! (especially if you live in Portland or Texas!)
Also there is always the chance that another pregnant lady could come into the hospital on saturday morning in active labor and needing a c-section who would go before me and we would be bumped until a later time.

I will post a picture of Dave and I in the next day or so - AND BP's room as it looks now.
Can't wait to post a picture of the baby in the flesh!!!
